Back In Balance
Come as you are to this mid-day class!
Learn to use your entire body in proper alignment. Walk, stand, and move with increased
agility and flexibility. Students receive helpful feedback, positive reinforcement,
and gentle corrections to improve their flexibility, strength, and body alignment.
Each class is designed to build your strength and flexibility through a series
of exercises performed either sitting, standing, or lying down, with concentration
on posture and breath.
Taught by Beth Seigler, co-founder of SafeSkills® and Movement Arts Center. Her
simple and clear approach enables you to achieve your best.
What You Will Learn
A strong foundation starts with aligning and strengthening the feet, the structure that supports and transports you. Special attention is paid to isolating movement of body joints into small segments in order to create balanced, fluid movement.
The April-May 2010 class is sponsored through Osher Lifelong Living Institute at Duke University. It will be held at the SafeSkills® Movement Arts Center. Participants can register through the OLLI website.
