KinderKarate

KinderKarate - for 4½ to 6 year old children. This specialized class is limited to just 10 students. With this small number of children the instructors will be able to give your child personal attention. When the class is full we will put your child on a waiting list. This class is designed for children to learn in a way that is appropriate for their age. Our current session is full. The next session begins March 23. Reserve your child's space now!

At SafeSkills®, we offer a peaceful and safe approach to training. There is no focus on competition, young children do not "fight", break boards, or glorify violence as you may see in the movies or on TV. We take a traditional martial arts approach to training, one of respect for each child. We have your child's best interest at heart!

Dragon Pole Games, drills, and activities will teach your child self-confidence, self-control, and coordination. Reward STARS will be earned throughout the class for them to wear on their belts as a sign of their achievements.

KinderKarate meets once a week on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 5:15. The class is taught in eight or ten-week semesters.

There will be a waiting list once the class is full. When a space opens up the first child on the waiting list will be invited to join the class.

The KinderKarate class will enable your child to join the ongoing Gentle Spirit Karate classes for children (ages 6 to 12). As your child matures and gains the skills, she or he can move into the next level of karate training. SafeSkills® offers many programs for your child to grow!

Why do we call it Gentle Spirit Karate?

There are many approaches to martial arts training and hundreds of martial arts styles. We call our approach "Gentle Spirit" because we focus on each student being a peaceful yet strong individual. The style we teach is Shorin-Ryu Kobayashi.
